I just designed a landscape image with a piece of text running vertically up the left side, to put on a alu drinks bottle, circumference of approx 23cm. Forgot the mug press wont completely cover the printable area... :-(
No big deal, not wasted any product yet (apart from few sheets of paper) - so what I thought was, can I resize and print the image on to the bottle, then print the text vertically in the gap between the two edges of the image? Will the image be damaged by going through the heat process again, even though it will be covered by blank paper?

I've done prints all the way round before. I print the bottle for the usual time and then turn it around 90/180 degrees and press again for the same time. Works ok and so far not had any overcooked. You do have to have a slight seam to do this though. You could print the design in 2 sections and tape into place as you've suggested :-)
