i,m thinking of buying another domain that is very,very similar to mine....

can i point the new domain to my one i got just now ?

so if people click on the one that looks like mine, they go to my store..

does that make any sense at all lol :wink:

Have a look at www.printerowners.com (rather than www.printerowners.co.uk)

Yup you can I have 4 all pointing to one set of pages, you just go to contral panel and forward it to exsisting domain............

yes you just set up a re-direction thru your hosting control panel very easy to do with cpanel not sure about plesk though :P

When I brought I brought .com and .co.uk both with same name, I had .com as a duplicate and when when co.uk got infected I closed that one down and went to .com which I kept .com asleep but always updated till .co.uk got the bug, its just as well that I did otherwise I would have been in big trouble, I then awoke .com and used another host that was better and more security conscious. co.uk is free from bugs now and kept updated in case .com crashes, hope this makes sense

It does after my head stopped spinning :biggrin:

I have two names registered for my business purposes and they share the same hosting package from smitch6.

I tend to favour only buying the .co.uk (as I am a cheapskate) and because in the past all my business interests have been UK only.

i always try and buy .com .co.uk org .org.uk
just so i cover all bases and i tend to buy slight variations also just in case like my new hosting site
mammoth hosting .org & .org.uk i also bought mammothosting
