Ok I have finally managed to do abitt of searching and found how to take a screenshot! the pics shows whats on the mac will someone please be kind enough to tell me which is best for sublimation templates/photos etc and easiest to use [ATTACH=CONFIG]1102[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]1103[/ATTACH]

photoshop or coral

I'd say that neither coral nor photoshop are easy to use but photoshop is definitely the more intuitive. I absolutely loathe and detest Coral Draw It comes from a lifetime of being a photoshopper and Coral not having the decency to use the same shortcuts and tools

In photoshop you can quickly learn to do what you need to do. I have been using it for over 10 years and probably only know 2% of it's functions

If you decide on PhotoShop then you'll need to configure this to work with the ICC colour correction profile. Guides are available, for example for the GXe3300...

Lol, each to their own I guess! I do run CS3 as well if that get's me some cred points back John?! I've just found CorelDraw does a fine job over the years where sublimations concerned...but I am but a simple man

Well, like software for cutters, the important thing is to find a piece of software you like and play. I have found that in most cases I prefer to create my work in whatever application I feel appropriate, export to jpg and print through another package that I prefer to print from.

However as a dedicated PC user I often find the quality of free software available as excellent and use Inkscape, The Gimp, Irfanview and a number of other free packages from time to time alongside the better known commercial packages.

Well it's so diverse!! I think it really is down to the individual and what you prefer. I have tried Corel in the past and was comfortable with it as I did alot of vinyl work but for sub stuff photoshop has alot of stuff too.... Then I discovered elements and illustrator......!!! Thanks for the sawgrass info Martin really helped should be putting up a pic of my first mug tomorrow!

In december I will have been using both for 20 years.
For layouts, Corel is MUCH easier to use, for true creativity, only photoshop will do.
If you want to be an artist, learn photoshop, if you need to be a technician, Corel is much more powerful. If you go down the corel route, you will probably still need to use PS for certain things, but generally, Corel is faster, and printing easier.
