anyone ever done it ?

example - iphone 4 case - sublimate it, then put a layer of lamination film over it to save ink/pictues ect, from rubbing/fading .....i thought it would slow down the process of the fading ect with people taking them in/out there pockets.

what ya think guys ?

i need to buy a new A3 laminator for other work i got lined up thats not sublimation but, was wondering what else i could use it for

well ????

Not something I would have thought of TBH, i made a sample case for my daughter months and months a go for her to test the waters before I actually sold them in the shop. Her iphone is an arm/hand extension but I can honestly say it look s as good as new.

I wouldn't have thought it would be worth the extra cost and hassle tbh. If you are worried about the pic fading you could look at protective spray but personally I wouldn't bother.

Lets be honest some people change their phonecases more often than some people change their underwear (yuk) - so cannot see the point in extending the cases life. Most users change their phones after 12,18 or 24 months anyway so unlikely the case needs to last forever and if they do need a new case they will probably be happy to buy a new one :-)

I would have thought you should be able to use your heat press for lamination.

I got my iphone 16 months ago and I haven't changed the case ever since! I have a silicone case, but a friend of mine got his one laminated a few weeks ago. I wouldn't have thought of that either but it does look great!

You could always use water slide decal unprinted as a protective coating
