Hi there fellow forumites. I have been trawling this forum for the last few months and finally decided to join as this seems to be the busiest and most active Dye Sub forum on the net. I am not from the UK but I used to stay in London for 5 years. I am currently residing in South Africa and working in retail as a FMCG Buyer and building small e-commerce websites part time and recently acquired everything needed to start up my own dye sub printing business. I bought the following:
Ricoh A4 (A3 was a little over budget at present)
Muggit multifunction mug press with around 9 different elements.
Geoknight JP-14 30 x 34 cm (yes yes I know its too small)
and a whole ton of consumables and blanks.
My main source of income will probably be my website (website is still being developed but the link is in my profile if you want to have a look) but I am looking into shows and flea-markets too. I have a home based office which I built and it can accomodate a small showroom so I am not intending to pay for shop front at this point. I have only come across a hand full of dye sub businesses in my area which is great but we literally have only one big supplier of goods which is not good. Our local supplier gets most of their products from Sawgrass so I assume the quality will be a little better than some of the chinese blanks I have seen to date.
Anyways, thats me. Hello and nice to meet you
