Total newbie, I have an image of a flames I want to print and cut.
I have hot peel transfer paper.
What is the process of printing it and then transferring to my plotter cutter.
I have flexi8 with a lyui cutter.
If i start flexi8 and put in simple text I can get the plotter cutter to plot the out line to cut.
But if I import an image like the flames it will not plot the outline of the image just a box.
How do i get it to plot the outline of an image what do i need to do thanks.

vectorise it and you may have to smooth the lines down for them to cut without a jagger.try a search in google for vector magic it is simple to use but if you have full version of flexi8 that has a tool to vectorise things

if you are printing and cutting, you must have a cutter with an eye to read the registration marks you will have to add to the design, if you dont have one, then afaik you will not be able to contour cut a design you have printed

Well. Its not actualy true :-) you can contour cut (i presume your software support thiture) withoi optical eye. But is pain the but. So optical eye would be helpfull for nice cut.
