Hi all,

Im new to the world of sublimation and need some help.
I am using adobe illustrator to print mugs through the Ricoh GXe3300n on a mac.
When I print text or graphics they print perfect. When
I print pictures they print terrible despite the picture being
of high quality and looking perfect on screen. The picture
prints very grainy and shadows appear blotchy and boxy. These
issues can be seen on the paper even before printing the mug.
I have messed with as many settings as I can find and wasted
Many mugs and much ink.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Do you have your paper loaded with the whiter side down - assuming you are using a good quality sublimation paper.

Hi Martin thanks for the quick reply. I have used two different types of paper.
Current batch has watermark on the side you don't use.
The problem is only with pictures, everything else prints great.

Where did you purchase the setup? What brand inks/paper are you using? Are you using the Powerdriver?

Correct, no power driver in the mac environment - you use icc profiles instead.
