How would i insert image into a mug template? useing photoshop 4,
I've been messin around with it and can only do by the file/place, but just wondering if theres a different way?

open the photo and drag and drop then place it behind the template - just guessing as I don't use the templates

Have both the template and photo you want to insert open in PS's desktop.
Go to the photo window
Copy the photo (Ctrl+A for select all, and then Ctrl+C for copy)
Go to the template window
Paste the photo into this window (Ctrl+V for paste)
The photo will not be in the template.
Now use Transform (Ctrl+T) to move the inserted photo about, rotate, resize it ...
When finished with Transform, hit Enter to set what you've done. (You can go back and change it further later with Transform again.)

just thought there might of been an automatic way of the image going to where its meant to be,
