Hi, quick question (she said hopefully)
I've been offered an Epson Stylus R245 and wondered if it was any good for sublimation ink. A quick google search seems to give me CISS to use with it but I can't find anything on here.
I've got to let them know a.s.a.p. so a speedy reply would be great appreciated - many thanks!

It may well work for sublimation but isn't an officially supported printer and therefore you'll get no backup. You'd also need to get a profile made so factor in for that as well. Personally I wouldn't bother, stick to the tried and tested printers...unless you want to have a play! lol.

Thanks, as ever, Justin

) I really don't get any better at this, do I?
Remind me again about profiles, will you? Is it something I really need to make it work or just something to make the colours better?

Yeah basically just means the colours will be right, also affects quality. I've had great results with unsupported printers, better than supported machines tbh! all depends how much time you want to spend and if you need to start earning quickly

For a better understanding of which printers can be used, why you need profiles, and other information, you may wish to read up on the FAQ:
