I saw the video and all sorts ran through my head of what I could use it for ................ then I saw they were overseas and also the price
Still, a fantastic and very unique way of preserving memories - very impressed with that

classic - never thought of that
Imagine this technology being used for the blind (no, I'm being serious). The braille would explain what a family photo is, i.e on the beach or on the mountains etc and they could feel everything.
This is a great product and I think it will become huge this year.

Haha Ian... that's a great use for a 3D printer : ) Imagine a picture of Dolly Parton!!!
The cost does seem a bit expensive at the moment but 3D printers are getting cheaper all the time, although this would need to be a full colour one.
