Re: My first ever mugs......

Ok folks....be gentle with me on this one. I bought my Ricoh 7700 and mug press from Martin (BMS) on Friday and just today got it all up and running after a weekend of workbench building and installing the printer today.......a big thank you to Martin and all the guys at BMS for putting up with a 'complete novice'.
Anyway tonight after getting the printer to do it's thing and print it was 'oh my goodness here we go' time. Well either I'm thick or the instructions for the mug press are not exactly clear.......but heyho we (my good lady wife) and myself, fingers crossed hit the 'start button' and hoped for the best......here's the two resulting efforts. The first is the biker (me) and the second was the 'boss' choice 'cause she loves hefalumps. The biker seems Ok but was a trial and error effort because I didn't set the timer properly. The elephant one has what I think are heat mat marks probably caused by me not reducing the time/temp from the original setting of 180/150 to 170/140. This was purely my fault because the instructions state clearly in 'red lettering' 170/140....note to self 'read the bl00dy instructions'......hehe. Anyway here's the result and like I said it's our very first attempt...no other mugs were harmed in the making of these results....
