Just testing the water on this one...

Curious - What is your preferred method of cooling down mugs after you've printed them?
Just leave them to cool down.
Assist cooling with a Fan.
Dunk in warm water.
Some other method.

The demo's I've seen all dunk in water but - i've heard this can lead to crazing of the glaze inside the mug (presumably due to the water being too cold), and I just wondered how people in the front line had fared and which option you found best to go with.

I gather that cooling down speedily is advisable to prevent the ink from bleeding - is that correct too?
And if so is it more relevant if the print runs top to bottom rather than within a border?

I use a fan, at least I don't hear the noise when I use to dunk them

Most cool on their own for us as most designs don't have an issue with bleeding. It certain dark/bold colours with a white background that can catch you out. Where we do cool it's room temp water as it drops the heat down instantly. Found a fan takes a bit longer on the designs that do bleed.

Fan here too - never go back to water as even at room temp we had problems.

I still dip in room temp water, tend to notice a very slight bleed/blur if left to air cool.

now air cooled all the way esp on designs with just black on as that seems to be the one that bleeds the most, esp on thicker / bigger mugs
