Hi I have just done my first few iphone covers and the picture comes out ok but the surface has dull patches and it feels rough to touch in certain places. I pressed at 360 F for 50 seconds.
Can anyone tell where I am going wrong dont want to keep trying and wasting covers.
any advice is welcome thanks

I was doing mine at 190 for 60 seconds with very good results but the surface was not smooth, now I press at 175 for 75 seconds and the surface is like glass!

I had this same problem when to much preasurre was applyed. If you use very light preasure all should be sorted.

The roughness would be due to the coating melting which leaves like a powdery looking texture/feeling. The different metals conduct heat very quickly so need less of both time and temp compared to other flat items. Also, you always heat to the back of the item rather than directly to the coated surface.

I press 80 secs at 170 degrees with very little pressure, very nice results so far.
