Are you using refillable cartridges, or a CISS?
If a CISS, I would check with a set of refillable cartridges, to eliminate an air leak in the CISS
A set of refillable carts could be a good thing to fill with printer cleaner fluid to flush through the problem lines/heads if this is the problem.

What ink are you using?
How often do you use the printer?

all these fixes can end up being detramental, do you really need to go down the route of cleaner fluid? These printers can be tempramental mine just needed to run out of paper and 4 head cleans would need to be done what a pain in the ..... also as i said if i turned it off then on hey presto head cleans needed. thats the joy of using ciss sytems but once the nozzle check shows perfect lines i find its like a rotwiler with tooth ache , you leave the thing well alone and it should give no more problems until that is you accidently run out of paper or try stopping mid print or do anything other than print. heres my advice take it or leave it ive been using an epson 1400 for 2 years.

1.Get it printing correctly ie perfect nozzle check
2. leave well alone if you make a mistake whilst printing then take the hit dont stop it infact just leave it alone
3. try to keep paper in the paper tray if it runs out of paper it will throw a moody then another 4 blummin head cleans
4. eventually it will reset a cartridge somewhere along the line again take the hit if your lucky it wont nead any head cleans but then it probably will, do the cleans get it back to point 1
5. if all this fails you may need a new cart assembly thats tough luck welcome to the world of sublimation again its a hit you will have to take

Theres a lot of posts from newbies on here with printer problems etc they are all problems the more experianced have had at some point, just remember its a buisness and with buisness your equiptment has a hard life and as such things go wrong fact of life you need to factor this into to your costs and cash flow. I can more or less gaurantee your printer will break down, your ink pads will show as full at some point, you will need to reset your printers counter at some point, your mug press blanket will burn out , the thermostat on your press will stop working, and all this WILL happen in the middle of a large job that cant be delayed. make you wonder why you bother really. Luckily this forum is here with plenty of people on here who have suffered and over come all these problems and more
good luck keep goin

I do a thing with my 1400 that is an absolute do not do. Totally tabu. But its given me no problems so far.
After a number of head cleans and it still doesnt print properly. I bring the head over to the left and pull the plug so it stop there and I can move it by hand. I then lay a soft wet kitchen , paper towel in the channel in the bottom. Very, very gently I wipe the head back and forth over this wet towel. Replacing the towel when it is too inky.
Doing this , I find, will clean the head.
If you do it, do so at your own risk.
