just about finished this site with the host i,m with....
gonna tie my domain with it when i go live next 5/6wks..
trouble is -
its started playing up
images on my front page not loading properly...sometime not at all !
customers dont want to have to refresh a page just to see most of it ffs !
editing - i sometimes cant see the bloody images to edit
overall sluggish to load the sites pics most times...
this has only started to happen 3 days ago...email serveral times to support staff - it must be my end they say...everythings loading fine our end...well it would do..you bloody hosting it !
from there support -
"Try attaching a domain name to your store. Stores on domains are handled differently by our software and run on totally different hardware/software. Perhaps this will resolve your issues. The things you are reporting cannot be replicated and only seem to be happening for you and your friend. I would suggest attaching a domain name - this will bypass any potential caching issues that are affecting you and nobody else"
is this true or bollocks ?...thought servers were servers, no matter what you want hosted !
would attaching my domain name to it help ?
but i dont want my domain linked yet....as i,m not ready to go live..still to buy the machines & practice first.
any ideas guys ?
very **** off
