hello everybody looking for a bit of help here, im new to sub printing nut have had some success but a few set backs, when i got the printer and set up all was fine, i am using coral draw x3 , when i started printing without icc profile all was great and i was printing like mad mugs were coming out fine , but the photo mugs were turning out kinda poor as the black in them look kinda browny redish, (but think i was cooking them for too long) but that wasnt the problem, the problem is when i applied the icc profile the writing and images i am printing are coming out kinda rough , the writing looks really digital as are the images , where before they were perfect ????? is this to do with the icc??? i have heard you need an icc profile but if its going to effect my priniting should i use it??? or is there a why to fix the images?? ps could use some help on photo printing aswell

hi billy. icc WONT affect your photo quality only colors. when printing with ICC they should look better and your blacks should be perfect.

so is it the printer setting i have to change???

Poor quality print (grainy, banding etc) isn't anything to do with an icc profile. Have you done a nozzle check to make sure your inks are coming through okay?

yes. And follow BMS advice. you should check your nozzles if they print correctly.

yeah, done nozzle check, ink coming through fine printing great , but its just the quality of the image and writing that has changed its really gettin to ma as the first dozen mugs i did were great

if i uninstall my printer and reinstall it do i have to reinstall the icc profile? and plz can yous help me out as to which settings to use on my printer

Is the ICC something supplied by your ink supplier/manufacturer, one you found on the internet, or one you had made for you?
