Re: Using an Epson D88 Printer

Hi
I'm thinking of using a D88 for sublimation printing and up until now it's been running ordinary inkjet ink. Is the anything I have to do in preparation for sublimation printing or can I just switch ink types

Thanks Bob

but be aware that D88 has some issues with printing little dots that r vissible only when pressed on blanks.

Used the D88's for a couple of years very regularly, never had any issue at all with them, running an Artainium CIS system.

They're not so easy to come by now though so prices have gone up again. D120 is a great little printer as well.

Is there a better quality A4 printer that I'd be better off using

I have one too, luckily without the black dots!
Great printer only problem i,ve has was with the cis shortly after i bought it , ooh and now a problem with the profile settings. I can't see it for looking so Paul suggested I do some screen shots of them and post them on here, hopefully someone will spot the problem.
Haven't had a chance to do it just yet but I hope to get onto it later.

The only supported new A4 printers are the Epson D120, Epson B40W and the Ricoh GX5050. All are available. The only benefit of the B40W over the D120 is the B40W is a wireless printer but more expensive and results comparable to the D120. The Epson D120 will be the cheaper of the 3 options.
