Hello there,

We have a Epson 7880 printer and are using InkTec SubliNova Pro Inks, we are currently not using any RIP software and have tried to print in 720 x 720 DPI and above using the Epson drivers, the colours come very dull and if we use 2880 x 1440 DPI, the colours are too dark. In our case, the black which we are using is towards the brownish colour.

Can someone suggest what should be done to get proper results, which ICC profiling to be used and if we buy a RIP, will it help anyway?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
M

My understanding is that Inktec are licensed only to supply into the wide format printers (42" or wider). As the 7880 isn't a wide format printer then this gives rise to a number of issues for them as a supplier!

You'll need a profile, but Inktec might not be able to supply this. Sawgrass don't appear to list an ICC profile for the Epson 7880 either.
