I can't stop laughing over something my 82 year old mum told me this morning.
Her hearing isn't what it used to be & she said 'oh isn't it sad that the actor Telly Savalas has had to file for bankruptcy'. I was lost for words because Telly Savalas has been dead for 18 years. I then listened to the news & heard that Kodak had filed for bankruptcy in the USA. My dear old mum thought they had said Kojak :biggrin:

that is so funny, my nan used to talk about "torriental rain" so here when its hammering down we still say oh its torriental

My nan used to call that character from Dallas: "JR Earwig". I still remember that all these years later.

Must admit to hearing another funny one when I was a teenager walking to a friends house. A man passed me with an Old English Sheepdog & I heard an old lady from a nearby garden shout to her daughter 'look Jane a Durex dog'. I nearly wet myself laughing.
