Anyone looking for a halogen oven to cook their mugs?

I must be dumb as i throught when it said do them in oven i throught it meant convential oven

Aldi`s have some good stuff in sometimes but trying to get what u want is bad at times as when new stuff arrives there is usually long queues for it

You can sublimate 5 mugs at a time in these ovens - we have 2 already.

How long does it take to do 5 mugs in one of these John?

From start to finish, i.e turning on to the mugs cooked .................. just curious how long in time you'd save as each mug (presumably) would also need clamping in a wrap - nice and tight before staring?

I counted when I had my oven. from the moment of puting mugs in the wraps to the finish - 19minutes for 4 of them

So if we go on 20 minutes for 5 mugs that's 4 mins per mug .................. slightly longer than a regular mug press.

I say this as when I have a few mugs to do I can cut and tape the next mug ready whilst the previous one is cooking - not wasting any time.

So - are the only benefits from these that you can do a wider print closer to the handle?

oh - and there's perhaps a saving in electric if you use the halogen lamps?

Still - I wouldn't resist sticking half a chicken in with the mugs .................... oooops, talking about food again

I guess the benefit is, if you don't have a mug press, it's a cheap way to start out. If you have a mug press, just stick 5 in to cook, walk away, have some FOOD, come back and put the next 5 in and have some more FOOD.

We've not used ours for a while as I got too fat, but, it was around the 20 mins mark to cook 5.

I'll be around Aldi first thing Sunday Morning ................. now to find the nearest Macdonalds to our local Aldi (after all, it would be a shame to waste the journey).

i presume you need the mug wraps for each mug to keep the paper tight
these are about £15 each aren't they?
but also with the oven you can do right up to the handle i think?
but also if you've only got 1 to do it'll still take 20mins i presume
