Just before Christmas I purchased a few Rock Slates from Corelgraph. I've not printed these before and hate making mistakes!

So, does anyone have any tips for printing these? I've read the instructions but it's always useful to hear from others who've had success
Cheers
John

bigest advice from me would be to read this topic that Justin provided

and also type slate in the search. there should be couple more that pop up!
there is a LOADS of valuable info. Most important is to pre-heat the slate for a 1 minute. and rubber pad.

I must say ia have 95% of luck with them so can easily say I master them lol

Nice John - the biggest thing I've notcied with the slates is that you need to make sure you have plenty of space in the photo at the top (i.e space above the heads of the subjects). You don't realise when you print it out but a lot of the print dissapears into the edge and some edges are a lot more uneven than others giving even more of a problem (yes, it's happened to me a lot).
Also, I find with the slates that changing the slate around and re-pressing for another 30-45 seconds really helps if the surface is not 100% flat and with these products they generally are not (being a natural - farmed - product!).

Yup, something to be aware of fo the next print. That first slate reall was a quick trial but I was pleased with the result. Inspires me to do more.
