I ordered a tablet pc for hubby for xmas, after weeks of showing "awaiting stock" i finally got the its being picked, and then despatched, last night, thismorning at 7.30 a loud knock on the door anounces its arrival - now its sitting in the box and im thinking shall i take it out and charge it up........ so its ready for him for xmas you understand:) , having said that i got sooooo excited on seeing it, i actually ordered another one, and now thats showing "awaiitng stock" all over again lol

hooo hummm, its no easier being an adult at xmas is it

Which model did you buy? Tablets seem to be all the rage at the moment. We have relatives visiting and they've brought their iPads with them. I think there's a new pastime - "communal tapping", in which everyone sits around in a circle tapping on their tablets and not engaging with each other at all.

Christmas, the time when families come together and .... ignore each other. Don't you love it? :biggrin::biggrin:

on my boat i sit in the wheelhouse which is upstairs :~ if you can count 2 steps up (we have 3 rooms on here the living room/kitchen is at the front with the wheelhouse in the middle and then the bedroom/e-suite is at the rear)
and the wife sits in the main living area
and we message each other either via FB or my forum or my chatsite rofl

in total we are about 10 foot away from each other lol
i smoke so i have to sit up here i'm not allowed to smoke anywhere else on the boat rofl in total it's 33' long

mainly bought it for the e-reader when we are away at shows (45 weekends last year) so he has a choice of books, but for the price of it, he can have films music etc, it was on gadget show, its the scroll essential - we are lucky trad xmas at the parents xmas day and boxing day home again boxing day night, let the e-reading begin lol

I can't understand when someone in a car goes into a shop & whilst they are there their passenger then calls them on their mobile to tell them what they want.

lol, Ian thats funny, i have had someone phone me with an order, and say hang on, then call a mate tell them what they are ordering, and then come back to me - ordered another t shirt so i guess that was ok

Thanks Laura. The conversation I once heard was 'no they haven't got any beef crisps so, what else would you like'. Then he had to say which flavours of crisps they did have. Then it came to getting a drink & he told his friend in the car all the various drinks they had & this went on for about 10 minutes & I was doing all I could not to laugh. It was like doing remote stock taking to someone sat outside in a car............lol.
