DSF

I very recently bought some china mugs and now realise that they do not fit into the standard mug press (duh). Anyway is there anything that I can use to make them fit, rather than buy a new sleeve as I only bought a dozen to try out as I want to do some for my friends for Xmas. I don't really want to spend the extra money for a different sleeve.

Any help would be appreciated

Have a look on BMS website they do a silicone rubber insert which can be used, think they're on a few quid. A lot less than a new sleeve.

go to your local store and look for baking sheet you can get descent size for less. i use it for my smaller mugs, slates and few other things. great buy!its quite soft and is easy to cut. so you can cut in strips to cover your mug in heatpress. try to look fr flat one without any texture. otherwise you will see it on your mug.

is 24" x 16" and is enough to cut for all my needs.

a silicone rubber baking sheet, they have them sometimes for rolling out pastry on, but as paul says be careful that it has no texture on it

thanks all, I've just been on ebay and bid on one. Hope I get it. I tried my local lakeland but couldn't find what I needed.

I use the baking sheets as Paul suggest, I cut them into strips and they work a treat for around a fiver!

i got 2 from ASda for £8 i think around that price

Can anybody tell me how much I should increase the 'cooking' time if using silicone sheets please. I only have 12 mugs and don't want to waste too many on trial and error.

Depends on thickness, but around 20 seconds.

Same here. I normaly rise my time about 20-25 sec. But i ALWAYS rise my temp too. My normal cooking temp for mugs is 185c but when i use silicon sheet i rise it up to 195.c.
