Greeting all, hoping the wise members of this forum can assist me.
Bought a mug press of ebay, the paper, mugs etc. All from people with decent feedback etc
Was a little too excited when it came and had a crack at it using my normal ink. Mugs came out yellow.
then got a ciss system with sub ink for my epson dx4450 and after a bit of wrangling got it working. Printed out some images and tried again.
Now nothing at all printed on the mug, not one remnant of anything and the press seemed to be working as the mugs were scorchio when i took them out.
Now from my bit of reading round these forums ive read about the icc profile, which i have not sorted. i was printing directly from photoshop and the images were awesome looking. ( i gather thats not right either as images should be dull) I emailed supplier of ciss system and he says it is sub ink in the system. I'm now at a bit of a loss.
The press, mugs and paper seem to be correct cause of the yellowing to the first mugs, surely it points to the ink, but if even if it was standard ink and not sub it would press something on the mug.
Looking 4wrd to some wise words to help steer me in right direction.
Cheers
Margey
