Hi Everyone,
This is my first go at sublimation. When i have an image printed onto disub paper (Sawgrass) it pretty welll matches the screen ie neutral.However when I heat it beit appying to a mug or tonight to mousemat and coaster the colours are very yellow. I have followed the heating temp and timing as required. What has made my images go yellow?

Are you getting a perfect nozzle check? Are you confident your profile is installed properly and what software are you using?

What printer, ink, profile are you using. Also what type of heat/mug press and what times are you using.
The more info the more people have to work with!

Hi Guys,
I am using photoshop on windows 2000 PC.
I have a ricoh 3300 printer using sublijet carts,sawgrass true pix classic disub paper,the heatpress is a clam type and the mug press both are Chinese I think, no further details on model etc. I can provide a pic if that helps.
I am not using a profile do I need one (I can't download one from the sawgrass web site as my Operating system is too old).
If my printed image is neutral is the likly cause the heat presses are too hot or in for too long???

My mug image was yellowed slightly when I first made one.. and it was down to the temperature I was using.. don't know if that would be any help.
I use an oven and wraps.. but reduced my heat and the second mug came out much more crisp and clear.. and no yellowing
BUT I have learnt from this forum.. that colour issues can be down to many things lol

Sawgrass powerdriver sofware for ricoh printers has to be used for printing, this sorts out the profile
Times and temps, or is it a secret

It seems that sawgrass only support from xp with the Ricoh 3300 - you may need to either upgrade or ask Paul on this forum to do you a profile. Your colours will not be right without one.

cant you just download the profile of sawgrass website and install it in your windows??

doesn't cover win 2000 - starts at xp, might be worth a try though!

but I dont get what is not suported?? profile or powerdriver?? if powerdriver then fairenough but icc profile ARE suported in win2000/NT
all you need to do is paste them in to: \Winnt\system32\spool\drivers\color
