HELP! A long and sorry tale at this stage - got the B1100 as an unused demo model and it worked fine, apart from odd issue with not recognizing a cartridge half way through the first week, just replaced with a spare. Printing only the odd sheet but was all ok, then I left the printer for a week. Since then(2 weeks ago) it has been a nightmare, gone from one black fuzzy to no black and now no blue and v fuzzy blacks. Have put cleaning fluid under the head and left for 24 hours, no difference. Run numerous head cleans - but no more than 3 a day. Refilled carts, left printer alone for a couple of days. Still no change.
So today decided to see if printer will work with regular carts - taken them from my other B1100 and when I put them in, not one of the cartridges is recognised and I have the red ink light showing. Nothing I have tried will make it register the ink - 2 are genuine and 3 are compatibles but they work fine in the other printer. Anyone know how to clear it's memory or something?
I'm out of ideas.
I was thinking of buying new carts, new ink and starting again with my other B1100 - I'm running out of time and I've a fortune spent and nothing done

There isn't a way of 'clearing a memory'. If the carts work in one B1100 but not in the other (and assuming you had a warranty with the printer) then I'd get it taken to an Epson authorised repair centre - you should have a 12 month european warranty on the printer as standard.

Thanks Martin - have abandoned that printer to concentrate on getting the subli carts up an running again, which (fingers crossed), I think I have.... nothing urgent to print A3 inkjet, I bought the printer off someone on here although it hadn't been used - there's a cartridge shop in town will fix your printer for free if you buy the ink off them, so might try that if I have no luck.
