Hi all,

I started sublimating mugs not long ago and have tried a few coasters and metal sheets too so far.

I do vinyl cutting both adhesive and heat vinyl.

I am starting to work for myself (.... well it's always for others I guess) on a full time scale as of November.

Tools : Plotter 120cm, Laminator 160cm, Roller cutter 130cm, Epson Stylus Pro 9880, Epson A4 with sublimation inks, 11oz Mug press, 38cm x 38cm Heat press, Hot foil blocking machine, hot wire and lots of elbow grease !

Hello from a woollyback in the wet west of Ireland (not half as exotic but taking the same route to self employment I hope - working on the business plan right now which I'm struggling with - making mugs and t shirts is much more fun. Good Luck and welcome to DSF - have had some great advice and picked up some equipment, well worth sticking around.

Good Luck sarahjane with your business plan. Are you going to be doing just sublimation products or do you do other lines of work too ?
Aren't we humans strange ... I think I would like to be out there in the wet west part of Ireland too ...... far away from the crowded metro in Paris !
Galway can't be far off the same latitude as home for a woollyback ?

A mancunian in Paris eh? Sounds much more exotic than a parisian in manchester I'm guessing your french is pretty good to be able to start a business over there? All the luck to you.

Spent an idyllic summer making desserts and cooking in a restaurant in Castlegregory many years ago, then over the Conor Pass into Dingle on my days off - great days.

Love cooking it - just cannot eat anything out of the sea and I have tried, I gave up after the projectile escape of a whelk from my mouth across crowded bar

Yes it definately looks like a great group here, especially if we'e already talking food.

I'm Ok with most sea foods and even frogs legs but really don't like Oysters and snails.

Schizowife, yes my French is very good but that's due to two things ... my wife is French and has always jumped on my mistakes and I have also been out here for 30 years now.... I do make mistakes in French when tired and especially when writing.

I always use my wifes help for proof reading ! I did a sign for a garage over here and put on it mechanique instead of mécanique and it really didn't strike me, unfortunately my wife wasn't around and it was in a rush, luckily they didn't have time to put it up and my daughter spotted it on the photo I had taken so went and changed it on the spot.

I will make the most of today to watch the Manchester derby, may the best team win
