Hi all,

Sorry for the stupid question but thought it was better to confirm what i have heard before i say to the client that i can do it

With clothing i understand that the best mix is 65% polyester and 35% cotton, how do 100% polyester come out?

I have a client that is after Black tee shirts (i have explained that we can't print the colour white) any ideas what ones are good

Andy

sorry for been a bit sarcastic but you already got clients but you dont know fundamental stuff about sublimation printing??
in short... more polyester=better print.
so 65%-35% will print but it will ook like 50 times already washed garment :)
100% will print beautifull.

regards to black you can not print (with sublimation) on black and thats it! end of story.
you can your dtg ot transfer paper thu.

ps. welcome on forum :)

The Xpres T's are 63% polyester / 37% cotton mix and print perfectly (can't comment on others as I only use Xpres T's). I should hope any T designed for sublimation printing doesn't look as if it's faded as my customers would certainly not be happy if they did :-)

Think its only the womens t shirts that are a mix - according to their website.

Subli T's are 100% cotton but have a polyester coating on the outside to sub print onto.

John, it says 63 / 37 mix on this page:

http://www.xpres.co.uk/garments/subli_t ... sublit.php

The Sta-Cool ones are 100% polyester

I'll be the first to hold my hands up if i'm wrong ;-)

I haven't got a clue where you got that page from - when I search the xpres site I get

http://www.xpres.co.uk/shoppingcart/aca ... _Polo.html

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I assumed that the inner part of the shirt was 100% cotton, then the outer was coated in 100% poly. The ratio is just the amount of cotton or poly used on the shirt that's why they feel so weird, not like a cotton poly mix.

Come on subli T users, what's the crack?
