Was the previous sticky back vinyl (I presume this is what you're using) ok before and are you using the same ink, printer, icc profile, software etc that you was using before when it was ok? (just trying to reduce what could be the problem).

yup its all exactly the same. its almost like it has a covering on it and that is melting when you heat press it. im doing the temp, press and time as they say. some of its okay but most of it has these marks, like bubble marks and fading.

Sorry - have you checked if the vinyl has a thin layer of plastic on it that needs to be removed first before pressing ????

yeah i tried and tried but couldnt get anything off so presume there isnt any. there wasnt any on the first lot. If there is some on there, there is no way you would get it off.

We print tons of these all the time, both the glossy white ones and the sparkle white ones - the 'blemishes' occur from time to time and so far we've decided it's the time that does it. If you press them for around 90 seconds they don't seem to appear. If you've already pressed the sticker and you've got blemishes on them they're not useless though! just unpeel the sticker to as close to the edge as you can, stick back down and remove air bubbles (this flattens them out again as they severely curl up once pressed) - put them back in the press with a sheet of plain A4 paper for 70-80 seconds and they'll disappear
