Hiya, ive been asked to provide some samples for merchandise for a band. However the guy im dealing with doesnt have any files as yet to give me so im going on whatever i can find, can you tell me if this logo is a font itself or you think it has been designed as a logo??

I dont know about this one but I remember sex pistols use to use "anonim letter" font. you can get it for free.

You could do somthing similar with a ransom font:

Of course, check the usage of these fonts for things you provide. They may be free for personal use but commercial use may be different

Its been made out of different fonts - there are 2 letter "a" in small case, both different fonts.

I like to hear ya the font meister mate lol!! Am trying to get either the proper logo or something i can work with or the details lol!!

if you want that as a proper logo, then use the trace facility on your software ?? as john says its made up of different "newspaper" style fonts. so you can replicate, but as adam pointed out, be careful as free fonts are different for home & commercial purposes. the company that are asking you should already have a file with their logo on, can you not just ask them for it ??

judging by the website, there must be the source files alavilable...

Thank you :) I got a eps file for it :) interestingly no one actually knows how it was made :)
