Hi all,

just wondering if anyone knows this and can save me the hassle of trying to search for it on the interweb (I'm not lazy, I just searched for half an hour but couldn't see the answer).

Anyway, I'm going to be cutting football numbers and offering them as a service. After looking around at the football number packs I have the following measurements (to keep things authentic).

Adult Numbers measure 230mm high
with
Adult Text measuring between 55mm and 65mm (is this right? suppose it has to be with the larger names??).

What about kids numbers??

I know the older kids will have the large numbers on their shirts but the younger kits are a lot smaller - is there a standard size of numbers and letters for these??

Hope someone can help.

Adam

Thanks buddy - just been looking at that site :)

I looked at the numbers available at target transfer and they are 23cm tall (different styles) and offer the smaller (short) numbers at 100mm. These are short numbers but seem a little small for the 'older' kids??

perhaps it will just have to be trail an error, maybe print a few next to each other after transforming them into slightly different sizes and see what looks good....if no-one else has the info that is...

Yeah that's what I'm doing now - I'm going for large, medium and small numbers/letters and just building a pack now so it's ready to import into the cutter.

Thanks matey for the replies :-)

As daft as it seems the same size numbers are used on kids shirts as adults at the football league clubs. Can't say I agree with it, does tend to look silly. Can't see no harm thoughin offering a smaller size.

That's what I thought when I was searching as I couldn't find anything to tell me about 'kids' numbers.

You're right though, a 5 year old with standard size numbers would look a little strange. I have the stuff prepared now anyway, offering three sizes.

Many thanks :-)

I had to stick one on for one of the players at Stanley last season. It was a 2 yr old shirt. Just about fit it on :)
