Do you use the quick info. blocks on the right side of the main forum screen? Quick links to latest posts and so on.

I would use them if they were accurate but they don't seem to update straight away, so its not the latest post.

I use a bit of both, the 'whats new' mainly with the info bar next ................... but as said before, it's not an accurate relection as it's not updated straight away where as clicking on 'new posts' brings up posts made in the last couple of seconds.

Just use Whats New to the left - vary rarely use the other ones unless i'm looking for a recent post that I've already read.

i have it always hiden as it takes half of my screen. if i want to know I look on the left and see icon colour change that mean new post was posted

so for me right side panel is useless.
btw. is any way that i can set it up hiden permanently??

I find they slow down page loading on my netbook. Gets quite annoying at times, particularly as they don't seem very accurate.
When I'm browsing on a smaller screen (such as running my netbook native or using a mobile device), they just take up too much space and space is at a premium on smaller screens - hence the previous discussion of large header graphics and advertising banners. All the "extra stuff" overwhelms the actual bit of the page I come to look at - the forum boards.

Not accurate? They reflect the last 5 posts so should always be accurate. Should make little or no difference to page loading times.I often run the forum from my tiny Blackberry screen connected through 2G and navigation is fine.Quite pleased most folk thus far don't like them because I was looking at removing them for a cleaner front page.
