Today four adults came into the shop about 21 to 24 years old, Something didn't feel right about them, they just pretended to look around, then one took out a camera and took a photo of a polo shirt with a new design that we had done, it caught me by surprise and I said excuse me you need to ask permission to take a photo, its rude, the big fat chap said come to my house to take picture I've nothing. you can take a picture. I wanted to say please delete the photo but not sure if I could then they left before I think straight. What am I allowed to do or say. it left me feeling angry inside because I did nothing and it happen so quick. Any advice, most people that have taken photos have asked.

Not a great deal you can do i'm afraid once the picture has been taken. I would be keeping an eye out to see if your design pops up elsewhere then you would have a case for copyright infringement if its your design. Just make sure you have the file showing the original date created just in case.

Might be worth putting a sign on the door stating, no food, drink, cameras etc are allowed inside the shop.

Maybe he was looking for a gift for someone and wanted to run it passed his missus before buying? Trying to look at this positively ;-)

you aloowed to take picture of the shop but you not allowed to take picture inside the shop with no permition of the owner. unfortunatly you can not force them to delete pictures. POlice can not do this too butthey can politly ask them to delete them by them self...

I can see your point Jennywren, and it sounds like they were up to no good. On the other hand my 2 daughters are always doing this with their camera phones so they can show there mates before buying.

write down desriptions of the people now while you remember, and anything else you noticed about them, the time etc, ask other shop keepers if they saw them yesterday, i think it was probably your shop they were interested rather than just the t shirt, have a look at where the t shirt is, is there anything of interest on either side of it ??
