hi there,
after AdamB (member of our forum) gave me a quick lesson (thanks again!), this is my first ever attempt to produce vinyl/flex t-shirt. as I like going on deep water straight away, I've tried multi layering :) white layer lost few details but still looks cool ;)
weeded at 2 am last night

proud of myself :D

Cracking Job Kris - well done.

3 layers, red, white and black?

or did you use two layers and use the black of the t-shirt for the third colour?

thanks mate :)
t-shirt as a black layer - took me long time to sort it out that way
should be also text under the image but obviously I've cutted vinyl without mirroring it first
oh well... newbie me :)

Red layer down first, then white on top?

I tend to do my designs in photoshop using the colour of the vinyl on top of the colour of the t-shirt. By this I mean if the finished t-shirt will be white and red vinyl on a black t-shirt I create a black background and work in red and white, once I have it the way I want it I turn them all to black (as seperate layers) and import them into the cutting software .............. it may be the long way around it but it works for me as I can print off the design to show the customer beforehand as this is in the same colours that the finished design will be in.

yes, red was first, then white on top
I prefer Corel Draw for all my designs. The beauty of vector graphics is that you can scale it endless and it will never loose the quality. also it's easy to manipulate with colours, shapes ect
