Hi all,

I am just about to try and image on an 100% polyester AWD just cool vest (may have some orders if it works) but I just wanted to confirm things:

a. As I mainly deal with Chromablast, vinyl and transfers I don't sub many shirts so would the times/temps be the same with this vest as it's 100% polyester? (i.e Press at 180-185 degrees Celsius for 60 - 70 seconds) ?

b. The material is like a football top (wicking type mesh material), would I need to put something inside the shirt before pressing in case the ink bleeds through?

I could just try and do the shirt but I thought it takes two minutes to post a message and it could save me the ink,time and vest if things go wrong!

hi. 100% poliester sublimate very well! I would go for 180C for 50sec it depence what paper. I use texprint so is high relase paper. I would put something in betwen layers as ink can bleed quite badly.

Thanks Paul - I was pressing the second side when you replied

It turned out well, I pressed for 185 for 65 seconds and used truepix paper ............. the image transfered well enough to give as an example but I'm interested to know what the difference would be using texprint paper, I have some so I'll wait on a mistake and test the two together.

I use trupix at the mo and wondered what the dif would be with textprint

Sorry Paul but is`nt Jecol paper the high release paper?

Adam. Did you changed settings when printed on texprint??? Also are we talking here about ricoh or epson with ciss?

I haven't used texprint Paul - I used truepix paper for the above transfer. I used an epson B1100 with Artainium Sublimation Ink (CISS System fitted), pressed for 185 for 65 seconds.

I use Texprint on shirts & always have had very good results with it. I've never tried Trupix to be honest. I've even tried the Texprint on a mug in the past & still got a good result with it.

i also use texprint for everything. I tryed trupix and is exelent formugs etc but is not any beeter then texprint so there is no need to hold two diferent types of paper
texprint relese more ink so perfect for tees etc...

Adam. if you willing to have a go on texprint then dont forget to change settings in your b1100 for normal paper. as matte will give to much ink deposite and paper will look like flodded
