DSF

Hey guys (hope everyone is ok - been offline for a few days, hectic!).

So, I am doing a new sign for the shop to point in our direction which will have a bit of info and also an arrow.

This is the question I have ................... do I go for something plain or something that jumps out at you?

To explain things, this is the arrow with a normal font:

(standard font and plain).

BUT, I was thinking that maybe I use the one below as it has a blurry effect (it drives me nuts looking at it!). The thing is, if people look twice at the sign because of the blur then it will do it's job - plus there's the factor that people will bring others to look at it so they can play a joke on people due the eyes going blurry.

So, is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Adam, I like the idea & would be interesting to see if it works the way you want it to do. I'd do it mate as I think you would be correct in your thinking.

love the second one Adam! and it make me look twice too so its work the way you want it to work lol

i think i need my eyes tested lol
them small pics the 2nd one looks clear to me lol
but when i opened it i saw what u meant

maybe if they don;t cost too much try the blurred 1 for a while and see what happens

i dont like the choice of font in the first - with a very pointed arrow, surely you need less rounded font ?? or a more rounded arrow to set off the font, but i like the idea of the 2nd, and agree it might be worth taking a punt on it

I do like the blurred one.... would this not encourage the drunks? as they will be able to read this no problem :-p
