Re: Different software gives different sublimation results?

I've just printed the same picture through Coreldraw, Illustrator and Photoshop. Results were noticeably different throughout each separate print.

My initial thoughts are that I've not got something set up correctly but I've double checked and everything seems ok.

Anyone any thoughts on what else may have caused this? I guess it wouldn't hurt to compare settings again.

Different programs use different colour settings and different profiles irrespective of your printer profile - I know it sounds wierd but it's the case. It's best to choose one program that you are happy with and stick with it - it gets way more complex if youi start throwing quark xpress, adobe indesign & acrobat in to the mix too. I've seen the same image created by different programs that print out vastly different ways. Hell even printing during different times of day with different conditions (like humidity, temperature etc) can affect printing different ways. Its not a science unfortunately - more an art.

I always use Coreldraw as I'm confident its printing properly but had a few problems with recent artwork pdf's so thought I'd try Adobe for printing :-)
