...I'm thinking of sending a few samples to local businesses.... has anyone ever done this with success, or does this sound good but rarely deliver...? any feedback would be great! Cheers!

Everyone likes a free sample - the problem is to try and get the right sample, to the right person. Mailshots with samples just get opened by the office staff and binned - you need to get the sample into the hands of the MD to have some success.
