Hi All
I have been toying with the idea of attending some bike shows next year and was wondering if anyone else does shows? what type and is it really worth the effort?

I do lots of shows but not with the subli stuff, there was a guy on the old forum who had the full moblle works and a really good set up, i've been racking my brains all day for his name but after all that i've just remembered the old forum is no longer available, so sorry guys what a waste of time I am today!! Manic in shop today with lots of nice mug orders and many more of the Adventa instant photo gifts...finally I can hear the till....kerching! A long time coming too.

I have a shop. No time to do shows, and to be honest having started on a market stall I really wouldn't want to gear up for moving everything about all the time.

What type of bike shows are you thinking of doing? We have done a few, looked into more and do them regularly with some of the clubs we are involved in (although only seeling the club's own merchandise). YOu can pay anything up to around £24k for a stand at some shows. The last one we did the cheapest stand was £2500 and the the most expensive around £50k, so you will need to sell a lot to make a profit. Some of the smaller more local shows may be worth looking into though. One of our local ones only charges £30 for the weekend, so not so bad. Obviously outdoor shows and you will need a very good power set up - indoor ones they are unlikely to let you take your equipment without paying a huge premium for them to test it. The last show we did they want £120 for one light on the stand and another £150 per plug you wanted for electric hook up as well.
