Re: Polystyrene Mug Boxes - differences

I normally buy my polystyrene mug boxes from BMS but, due to order consolidation, I bought a bunch from Listawood - not knowing that they are different.

For anyone who tends to print 10oz mugs, beware that the Listawood polystyrene mug boxes are not as convenient for packing. The BMS ones that I last bought were the ideal shape/size for 10oz mugs. The Listawood one will fit 10oz mugs, but they are taller. This is, presumably, to accommodate china mugs as well as regular mugs. Unfortunately, the indentation where the mug sits is much steeper on these boxes - again, making them ideal for china mugs, but making them awkward for regular mugs. You end up with the regular mug not sitting on the bottom of the polystyrene and with the handle effectively supporting the whole thing. With the indentation cut to fit 10oz/11oz mugs, I'm not too sure china mugs will be well supported in them either.

In short, these boxes are a "jack of all trades, master of none". I'm now going to have a heck of a wasted day trying to properly fit my 10oz mugs into these boxes. Once this order is done, I'll reserve the rest for china mugs and will buy boxes from BMS for regular mugs.

Anyway, I thought I should mention the differences here for anyone who's looking for polystyrene mug boxes. They may be described the same, but they're different.
