DSF

Went to a seminor at Grafityp yesterday what a great day. It was free and we were taught about all their t shirt vinyls and how to layer them. It was all hands on training too. Great day learn't so much well worth the visit. I would like to say thankyou to Siser and Grafityp.

Did you get the DSF a mention whilst you were there?

oh biker maybe you can pass your teachings on then because that's my new venture layering

She's been fantastic with me, really helpful. In fact Grafityp on the whole are a very friendly company indeed. I bought my printer from them and even ran up a £2000 debt with them (long story), they let me pay it off in drips, not many companies would do that, they'd send the boys around for sure.

Any tips then? I use the C Print New and the Printable Subli-Block vinyls.

Companies that invest in helping customers, keep customers for life, sounds like they are a good company to do business, with. I love layering vinyl, and until i can have a load of my designs in plastisol at reasonable prices, its what i will continue with

i want to try layering but i'm not sure how to sort it out
the pressing side seems easy enough but how do you get each layer to be right ?

like say i had a logo jpg off a company and it was 3 dif colours how on earth do i split them into dif layers lol

i dont think you can do this in easy way would be handy to have it all in vector so you just send it to the cutter and job done.

Coreldraw - split them to different colour then save as a file that your cutter recognises. Then cut using your cutting program.

i don't have coral can't afford it either lol

i do have PS CS4 though
