DSF

Well I finally got around to rebuilding the forum. I've started this thread so that members can post any comments/suggestions etc. without having to PM or eMail me.

All the basics are the same just have a good look around the front page and you'll see the links to new threads, your threads and so on. editing threads is very similar but if anyone needs any help with anything just let me know.


The new forum should be much quicker and cleaner to use. It may be lacking a few features that we had before so please let me know if you miss anything.

That said, the biggest changes are in the background, far better security, keeping everything up to date is much much easier.

I will be revisiting the Premium Membership scheme so again, any suggestions just let me know.

Looks fresh, I miss the old style friends seton on the left side of a persons profile page but thats phpBB for you. bye bye vbulletin

I cant find a thanks button?

99% chance of user error here but....
i couldn't upload a picture it said forum has reached threshold or something like that?
I tried it as a bb code but that didn't display either so gave up.

Will have a look at the friends section when I can.

VBulletin was very much outdated and we needed a complete overhaul tbh. Security was becoming a concern. We will configure the new forum as we go along but hopefully for the time being it's working ok

OK, I don't think a thanks button is feasible but I'll put it onto my list of custom work to get done

I'll check the upload limits. We were maxing out the old server so space was starting to get a bit tight, shouldn't be an issue once I move the forum over to the dedicated server as we now have far more control.

Please try the upload again, it was set very low and has now been raised so 'should' be ok

Thanks button now installed!

Please see attached screen shot, thumbs up (or down if you want to remove thanks) at the end of the blue icons.

You can still add friends in your admin panel here:

User Control Panel.....Friends & Foes.....Manage friends

I can look at how this displays.

I made it here. So coming over to the new home must be easy!
