I was just looking at you tube and notic that there are a lot of "Ive got a UV Printer I'll train you" videos. I assume, rightly or wrongly, that these people will most likely all be laser owners looking at the next progression.
Looking through the posts in this are I read one poster ask about a "Desktop" UV printer so I did a search and I think the definition of "desktop" is different to mine
Looking further into the subject, all the facebook groups/you tube channels (USA based) seem to talk about a Mimaki or Truttroc? machine.
Now I have no intention to buy or the space to put one of these machines but I did wonder, how many people here have one, do they reallly print direct to glass etc, and is it all B2B ?

We now have a Mutoh UV printer having had a few Chinese sourced machines. Yes, we print directly onto glass with ours. Photo attached of a couple of glass placemats and a large slate.
UV is fantastic and incredibly versatile. That said, they're a challenge to work with and very expensive to run.
We're going to start offering a B2B trade printing service.

We print towels, cushions etc. as we primarily print textiles.
The UV will print onto most flat (or slightly curved) surfaces, woods, plastics, metals, glass and so on.

We print CMYK+White+Varnish and can layer yes. 3D would refer the the laminated stickers.
We only use hard inks now which don't flex.
