Due to a project no longer going ahead we are selling on a large number of deckchairs and windbreaks.

We bought them from a lovely chap in Norfolk who had personally rented them out on North Hemsby beach for over 30 years. Some will be up to 50 years old. As the beach has now eroded away completely he packed the business up around 7 years ago and carefully stored them in a dry shed, checking them every week. They are all in perfectly usable condition and could rent out straight away if needed!

Our intention was to strip the material and make into bags, cushions etc. Then re-cover the chairs. Clearly a huge profit to be made.

Approx. 160 deckchairs and 50 wind breaks.

Just thought I'd post on here, this is a genuinely rare opportunity and batches like this don't come up very often. When we bought them the chap had started to sell for £30/£40 each individually.

We've posted on eBay for £2500 and £600 respectively but would consider an offer if anyone on forum is interested.

Told you it was a strange one! Links below to eBay ads for photos.

We used to quite well doing deck chairs, sometimes buying job lots on Ebay like this (but new/unused) or raiding asda/ikea/wilko for what they had. In the end, the cash flow didn't work as we had to but in batches full price to be sustainable.
If you can find a good niche, and can print 60x150 lengths of poly canvas it can work well.

We ended up with so many boxes (1000s) of deckchair slings from what we bought in, some we upcycled, some we flogged on Ebay, most unfortunately went to landfill.
