Is it me or do sun screens never turn out like you see in the demo photos?

When I do them (I've done a few) they are quite dim and you have to hold them up to something black to really see them - but in demo photos the image is really vibrant.

Is this the norm and are the photos to help sell the product?

Ours come out great. Nice and bright and can be seen in most conditions. Obviously, with them being see through there can be certain times they don't look as bold. 195 for 45secs should be plenty. Blow out sheet underneath.

I've not done a sunscreen though I have done one of those fold up frisbee things that's made of the same material, and it turned out really well

The frizbees are a different material. They don't have the same mesh as the sunscreens you need to see through.

Have you ever noticed that one side (the side you pressed) is brighter then the other?

Yeah, it will be brighter one side as it is the pressed side. 30 secs should have been not too bad. We have in the past done 2 presses with the same paper.... 30 secs first and 50 2nd. There is usually plenty of ink left to do this.

The image is there Andrew and I did (as you say) another screen with the same image and left the time for about 45secs and it was ok.

I think my problem will be that I need to up the temp and time .................... thank you Andrew & Kaz.

No worries Kaz. There are a few different finishes on the sunscreen material as well. I find the stretchy they get the worse they print.

As mentione, make sure you put paper under the screen when you press it as the image wil go right through onto the press bed! I found these printed really well, A3 makes a big difference. Tried the frisbee things but had a lot of problems with them ripping.
