Sorry this isn't strictly 'dye-sub' related, but it's a printer so thought it might be ok to ask here.

I have recently bought an Epson XP-970 as a 'normal' printer. But I've noticed something strange. If I print something that has lots of pink and not much else, it comes out fine. And if I print something out blue with not much else, it comes out fine. BUT if I print something that has pink AND blue, the pink turns purple and the blue turns grey! Also if I print something grey it's fine, but if I add ANY other colour to it, the grey turns a horrible muddy shade of the other colour, or if it's multiple colours, the grey turns into a grim dark brownish colour.

I've tried turning the colour correction setting off and using different colour profiles but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. It must be something automatic or corrective that's happening but I just wish I knew how to make it stop lol.

Anyone have any experience with non-subli related colour issues like this?

Did you buy it new? If so, contact the supplier, or if you're purchasing paper from a reputable company, they should help you with colour profiles and any issues you may have
