Can anyone help and tell me where to go and what to look for in regards a new or used heat press, please?

I want to buy a heat press that is regulated for 13amp as my property is not 3 phase.
I already own a jet press 14 swing away, but I read on the internet that it is considered a hobby item, I’m looking for industrial/business use
I think I want a 16 x 20 platen for t-shirts/polo shirts/tote bags etc.

But, I have also read that all heat presses have a low spot of one inch in width on all four sides making a 16 x 20 actually a14 x 18. Is that still true please?
I own a decent compressor but don’t think I will have volume as I have someone who is going to do volume on a sort of POD arrangement.

As I’m restarting an old business, I am leaning towards reliable used equipment but don’t know where everyone on the forum finds the used items that they do, when not seeing anything in the for sale section.
Can anyone advise on what to do to answer these questions, point out what I might have missed and maybe Admin can start a sticky to help others in the future.

Pressmech every time. An older Adkins (beige top) not the grey top if you can find one. Both industrial high quality presses that last and can be repaired....well the Pressmech can anyway lol. You shouldn't be getting any cold spots with a good press.

They sometimes come up on FleaBay but not often, most folk (like us) tend to keep hold of them. I'll start to have a look around, there was one on Facebook a few weeks ago, I'll see if it's still there.

This is a Pressmech although description states a different name and I think it may be smaller, strange. Will keep looking.
