Just found myself a gs24 unused in the box and got it for a cool £600.

So now my thinking is I can print on the bn20 and transfer to the gs24 to cut after laminating to speed things up.
leaving the bn20 to carry on printing.

It might sound stupid but can the gs 24 pick up the reg marks that the bn20 normally would?
or is there and easier way to do this?
I’m Also assuming that VW can be used for both machines at the same time?

Please tell me I haven’t just wasted £600 :D

Not sure if this is helpful, or not, as I have neither a BN-20 nor a GS-24, but the video on this page may be worth a watch ...

Hi. I had the earlier version the GX24 and that would pick up the crop marks. It was a bit of a phaff to set it up but it worked.
I cannot help you how to do it as Ive been out of the business for a year and a bit and forgotten how. But keep looking as it will do it, youre not wasting your time.

Great video, i understand the processus to print and then cut around the printed picture.
Thanks a lot.

The Roland hardware looks good, unfortunately it may be so expensive the guy has no more money for a good pair of scissors.

To update this.

It was actually very simple.
I only needed to add the cutter to vw.

Print the file with reg marks
drag and drop the ripped data into the gs24 box on vw
select and choose cut only
load print into gs24 and press go.

it automatically searches for the reg marks and cuts.
I can either leave it with the machine set pressure and speed etc or let vw control it.

My only gripe is there’s no view and home button to load more media forward to check tracking.
