Re: Paper / Print Sizes?

I'm mainly printing mugs on paper that is 100mm x 240mm.

I thought I would create the design 90mm x 200mm as I felt that would fit the mugs better and avoid fading around the edges near the handles where the heat press cant completely press the paper to the mug.

However when I goto print via PrintManager it Print manager either has an hard time recognising the size and gives me an error stating that the design is bigger than the print surface. I can get round it by changing the layout to use windows settings and not the PrintManager settings or adjusting the settings of PrintManager layout to trim white spaces and center etc.

Once printed I'm finding that the pictures are not central nor are they the right size, mostly smaller than quoted.

I'm stumped as to where I'm suppose to be entering the media size. Windows? The printer itself in control panel? PrintManager print driver in control panel?

Any help will be appreciated.

Problem is many folk have moved away from Print Manager and Sawgrass, for good reason.

Have you spoken with Sawgrass for support? This is what you're paying a premium for so make them earn it

Whats the alternative?

I'm only using it as it has the auto mirror function.

As you're using a Sawgrass printer you have no direct alternative. They used to 'allow' you access to the ICC profiles but I believe no longer do. Of you had these you could use other software, Photoshop etc.

The alternative is to use a different setup with profiles, ink experts would be a good place to get some advice on what can be done with your printer or, a different printer.

What do you use for your design software? Most allow mirroring. For example, in Photoshop you simply select 'Emulsion Down' when printing.
