Hi,

We have recently bought an Epson ET-3850 for sublimation but we are having issues with the colour, in general colours are coming out darker, pink is coming out darker and more purple (please see images attached of different profiles used). We use photoshop CS6 with the settings of photoshop manages colour, ICC 3850 Profile, Rendering Intent: Perceptual, Epson Matte, Quality: Standard, No Colour Management box ticked. These are the same settings and the same ink/paper that we use for Epson ET-2650 and ET-2710 (except the ICC Profile which is relevant to the printer used) and these prints come out great. We have tried usb and wireless setup for the printer, resetting the driver. Also tried different ICC profiles from Ink Experts and a custom one from City Ink Express and the old profiles.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Also does anyone else use a 3850 for sublimation?

Did you have the ICC made specific for your individual printer, paper and inks, for the substrates you print to?
Were the test charts made with the same printer settings you are now using?
Are you consistent in keeping all your documents in Adobe RGB 1998 profile, or are some in sRGB?

What material is that you're printing onto?

Thanks for your response it is really helping, we usually use sRGB but have tested with Adobe RGB 1998 and are seeing better results, this time it is a bit too light with some colours e.g. red or blue but overall is much better certainly with black. What would you recommend to use?
We did have the ICC made for our printer, ink, paper and are using the same settings to print with as the test charts were made with.


Also these are metal plates for phone cases.
